About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and driving sales growth in the Hardgoods department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and increase sales revenue.
- Coach and train sales associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and improve overall store performance.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service skills.
- Demonstrated interest in or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed business decisions.
