Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and progressive emergency department, staffed by a dedicated team of emergency physicians. The department cares for a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients, and offers a range of medical and surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment
- Work collaboratively with a team of emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in regular teaching opportunities with medical students and residents
- Be comfortable working in a single-coverage department without onsite Respiratory Therapy or ICU support
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certification in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM or FRCPC)
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
- Experience working in a community hospital emergency department
- Flexibility in scheduling and availability to fill crisis call-in volume and acuity work
