Jr. Rolling Mill Operator

Magna Exteriors is seeking a highly skilled Rolling Mill Operator to join our team. As a Rolling Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining rolling mills, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain rolling mills, including starting and shutting down equipment, monitoring oil and fluid levels, and performing minor adjustments.
- Responsible for part quality, ensuring that products meet quality standards.
- Clean and maintain rolling mills, including removing rolls, cleaning, and storing them properly.
- Assist in tool organization, change over cart, and development of standardization charts for change overs.
- Contribute to regular production when there are no change overs.
- Communicate issues and problems to area leaders or work cell leaders.
- Maintain 5S standards in the working environment.
- Attend training based on Mytox's internal training matrix.
- Perform all job functions in a safe, healthful, and environmentally conscious manner.
- High school diploma or post-secondary education in a technical field.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Open-minded and able to receive constructive feedback.
- Working knowledge of rolling mill controls, tooling protection, and other equipment.
- Working knowledge of inspection records, SPC charts, and checking fixtures.
- Working knowledge of measuring equipment, such as vernier and other gauges.
- Working knowledge of rolling mill induction welding.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime when required and willing to help out when necessary.
- Valid Forklift license (training will be provided and maintained if required).
- Valid Crane license (training will be provided and maintained if required).
- Ability to follow verbal and written set-up instructions and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
