Job Summary

The Tlicho Investment Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to provide a range of accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate processing of financial, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review bills for appropriate documentation and approval, including matching bills to purchase orders, prior to entering data into the accounting system.
  • Accurate entry of accounts payable data into the accounting system.
  • Process cheque runs in accordance with company policy.
  • Audit, reconcile and process credit card statements.
  • Maintain vendor files and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Assist with timely completion of customer invoices in compliance with any project operating agreement.
  • Assist with collection of overdue accounts including issuing monthly statements.
  • Perform account, bank, and other reconciliations.
  • Full-cycle accounting, including performing month end reporting procedures.
  • Processing full-cycle payroll including follow-up and year-end payroll requirements.
  • Other financial data entry as required.
  • Perform general administrative tasks.
  • Handle and complete special projects as they arise.
  • Reviewing bank statements and performing credit card reconciliation.
  • Reconciling and maintaining customer accounts between Accounting System and Operation System.
  • Managing the monthly financial statement meeting with management, and conducting variance analysis.
  • Assisting with various audits and other ad-hoc reporting tasks.
Requirements
  • Intermediate level CPA student (PEP level) or above.
  • Minimum of 3 years related financial/accounting experience (full cycle accounting).
  • 1-year payroll experience.
  • Experience in construction/project management accounting and real estate/property management accounting considered strong assets.
