Job Title: Cabinetmaker

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Sofo Kitchens Ltd.

About the Role

The Cabinetmaker will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom cabinets and furniture for our clients. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • Cabinetmaker Trade Certification
  • Joiner (Cabinetmaker) Trade Certification
  • Cabinetmaker Red Seal Certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field
Working Conditions

The Cabinetmaker will work in a custom cabinet shop, furniture manufacturing company, millwork shop, or residential setting. The role requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
