Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

Midas Auto Service is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices.
  • Provide customer service.
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Tire, wheel, and rim mechanic certification.
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification.
  • Automotive Service Technician (Transmission) Trade Certification.
  • Motor Vehicle Repairer (Service Station Mechanic) Trade Certification.
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate.
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C).
