Position Overview:

As a key member of the Service Nova Scotia team, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with various regulations. Your work will directly impact the lives of citizens, businesses, and municipalities throughout Nova Scotia.

Location:
HALIFAX

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough inspections and investigations to determine appropriate actions under relevant legislation.
  2. Address complaints received by the Compliance & Special Investigations section.
  3. Engage in both mobile and stationary surveillance, including evidence collection through sample purchases.
  4. Prepare and secure search warrants in accordance with applicable laws.
  5. Assist in the planning and execution of searches, seizures, and the management of exhibits.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • Successful completion of Police Training.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of training and experience, with a focus on investigation or forensic accounting/auditing.

Skills Required:
The role demands proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and the internet, along with the ability to learn additional work-related software. Candidates should demonstrate:
  • A high degree of initiative and objectivity.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and projects effectively.

Security Clearance:
Enhanced security screening may be required as mandated by relevant law enforcement agencies.
