About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of pharmacy workload, including tasks such as labeling and filling prescriptions, and performing independent double checks for repeat prescription releases.
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders and ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
- Work independently to prepare and review billings, claims, and disbursements, as well as maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Enter prescriptions into the computer system, retrieve and correct data as needed, and screen calls to gather relevant information for the Pharmacist.
- Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications, as well as review invoices and other documentation.
- Pack and ship prescription orders, and receive and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal and contractual obligations.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Process on a regular basis, as part of continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or successful completion of Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Bridging Program and a Certificate of Registration with OCP.
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kroll required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations, including pharmaceutical industry and drug distribution practices.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, business and financial acumen, and analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
