Senior Financial Accounting Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accounting Systems Administrator to join our Investment Technology team at Equitable. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining our ABOR (ePAM)/IBOR and other accounting systems in enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain ABOR (ePAM)/IBOR and other accounting systems in enterprise platforms
- Support internal stakeholders through ServiceNow intake
- Implement corporate policies, standards, and procedures for effective architecture, governance, and management of Equitable's technical systems and solutions
- Collaborate with Business and IT roles on solution design, development, and quality management of shared infrastructure systems and applications
- Work with internal and external teams to increase client satisfaction by improving the quality of systems and products through identification of issues, on-going maintenance, and implementation of solutions
- Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of components, including maintenance, upgrading, or replacement of application software
- Participate in an Agile process, issuing updates and suggesting improvements to our existing SDLC process
- Assist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality standards
- Inspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficiencies
- Monitor capacity usage and performance of assigned technologies to assure operational availability and process integrity
- Provide technical guidance to peers and/or end-users regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an ePAM Systems Administrator or similar role
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer science or engineering
- Experience in high-level languages, VBA preferred
- Experience in low-level languages, C++ preferred
- Experience in functional programming is nice to have
- Understanding of and experience with event queues (such as Pub/Sub) is nice to have
- Experience in end-to-end SDLC is nice to have
- Software engineering, configuration, and integration experience between enterprise and core systems
- Focused on client experience and service commitments
- Growth mindset, focused on future state. Always questioning existing processes/solutions.
- Not afraid to make mistakes, but be the first person to produce the solutions
- Interpersonal skills: communication, feedback, negotiation, conflict management
