About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at AHS Altimate Home Solutions Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and repair of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects
    • Develop and implement plans for construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Construction and Repair
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
  • Project Management
    • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
    • Instruct and supervise apprentices and other construction personnel
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all construction work meets quality and safety standards
    • Identify and report any defects or issues with construction materials or workmanship
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade, or equivalent experience
  • Work Environment
