About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (London) Inc. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify and mitigate safety and health hazards.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and illnesses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and information to employees, employers, and the general public on health and safety best practices.
  • Review and update HR directives to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding health and safety.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
