Job Summary

As an Administrative Support Specialist at Vitalité Health Network, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to a clinic, department, or program. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of administrative tasks, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments, managing records, and performing other administrative tasks.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and other documents as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other administrative staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Language Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, with the ability to write and revise a wide range of documents in both languages.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduation or General Education Diploma (GED) plus an administrative support program of over one year and up to two years or equivalent, which includes medical terminology/transcription courses.
  • Experience: One year of previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, knowledge of other software programs currently used within the Network, and excellent physical and mental abilities to perform the assigned work.
  • Work History: Good work history, with a strong performance and attendance record.
  • Professional Ethics: Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values.
