Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Diya Restaurant and Sweets Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality food is served to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our menu and quality standards.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
