About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at 2426234 ONTARIO INC. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Handling: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods, and packaging take-out food.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and handle customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work surfaces, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient food service operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
