Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Holiday Inn & Suites. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring exceptional quality and service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
- Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for menu planning and cost control.
- Prepare and submit reports on food service performance, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
- Supervise and inspect the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, guaranteeing exceptional presentation and quality.
- Establish work schedules and delegate tasks effectively, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on quality control and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our guests.
LanguageThe primary language of this role is English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests.
Work ScheduleThis is a permanent position, requiring a 40-hour workweek with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
