Job Description

Job Summary

The Assistant Chief Engineer - Technical Operations will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's technical systems and facilities. This includes managing the maintenance and repair of equipment, coordinating with external contractors, and overseeing the work of technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of hotel equipment and facilities
  • Oversee the work of technical staff and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure that work is completed to a high standard
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure that equipment is running at optimal levels
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that technical operations are aligned with business objectives
  • Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce the hotel's environmental impact
  • Ensure that all technical staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that technical operations meet the highest standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, maintenance management)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a technical operations role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of technical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and other relevant software

Working Environment

The Assistant Chief Engineer - Technical Operations will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with technical staff, external contractors, and other departments. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
