About the Role

Agriville is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our farm, ensuring the highest quality of produce and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure optimal crop production and quality control.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed at all times, maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain quality control and production records, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Maintain work records and logs, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Hire and train staff, developing a skilled and motivated team to support the success of our farm.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform general farm duties, including crop management, irrigation, and pest control.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Will train, or equivalent experience in agricultural operations management.
Work Environment

Agriville's farm is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring a high level of physical fitness and attention to detail. You will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
