About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Career Development Specialist to join our team at SEMO de Granby et région. As a Career Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their career goals and improve their employability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with clients to understand their employment history, educational background, and career aspirations.
  • Assess clients' problems and develop strategies to overcome barriers to employment.
  • Administer and interpret tests to determine clients' interests, aptitudes, and abilities.
  • Provide clients with information and resources to enhance their job readiness skills, job search strategies, and résumé writing.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and partners to identify additional services and provide referrals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, employers, and community stakeholders to promote employment opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with labour market trends and provide clients with relevant information and guidance.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Professional accreditation in career development or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken).
