Job Summary

The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing critical accounting support and financial insights to our clients. You will collaborate closely with the fractional CFO and controller teams, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and budgeting/forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports for multiple clients.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting software solutions.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to assist in decision-making and provide clients with actionable insights.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax requirements, and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Tidal CFO team to ensure clients' financial and operational needs are met.
  • Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasted/budgeted numbers and presenting findings to clients.
Requirements
  • CPA designation (or working towards one): Essential for providing top-tier financial services to our clients.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience: Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation, preferably in a multi-client environment or with a firm providing outsourced services.
  • Strong financial analysis skills: Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Proficiency in accounting software: Experience with cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, or other relevant software. Knowledge of Dext and Plooto is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills: Capable of explaining complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients and team members.
  • Independent self-starter: Proven ability to manage your own workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without constant oversight.
  • Detail-oriented and organized: You have a strong attention to detail and are able to maintain high accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment, with the ability to pivot between different tasks or client needs.
  • Client-focused approach: Dedicated to building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that add value.
  • Team player: Works well in a collaborative, supportive environment while being able to drive individual results.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: Base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives tied to client satisfaction, project completion, and business development.
  • No Time Tracking: We trust our team to deliver results without the need to track billable hours. This allows you to focus on high-quality work and client outcomes rather than hourly billing.
  • Flexible Work Schedule: We understand the importance of work-life balance. You'll have the flexibility to manage your own time and work remotely in a setup that best suits your needs.
  • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing firm: Be part of a forward-thinking company that's expanding and evolving in the fractional CFO space.
  • Exposure to a variety of industries and business challenges: Gain experience across diverse sectors, working with clients on unique financial and operational challenges.
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture: Join a team that values open communication, teamwork, and mutual support to help you succeed.
