Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Elliot Lake area.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
- Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and a negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length.
- Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
- Reliability in accepting and cancelling shifts as per the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
