Position Overview

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team in the metal product fabrication sector. This role requires a strong understanding of metal shaping techniques and the ability to operate various metalworking machinery.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Work Environment

The position is set in a dusty and noisy environment typical of the metal fabrication industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products for accuracy in shapes, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Utilize machinery to cut, bend, roll, and shape metal stock into components.
  • Document completed work and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor issues to perform repairs.
  • Set up and operate one or more metalworking machines effectively.
  • Manually or mechanically transport materials to the work area.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical charts.
Certifications

Must possess a Forklift Operator Certification.

Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with brakes and lifting devices.
  • Proficient in operating overhead cranes.
  • Familiarity with computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks and repetitive actions.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Work Schedule

This is a permanent position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
