Human Resource Manager

DeckMart, a leading specialty store for outdoor building materials, is seeking a seasoned Human Resource Manager to drive strategic growth and foster a positive work environment. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with company goals.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health benefits and RSP matching plans.
  • Handle employee inquiries and resolve work-related issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Support organizational development and change management initiatives to drive growth and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and ethics.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR management experience, with a strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Essential Skills:
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Expertise in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates, with the ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
  • Employee Relations: Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills, with the ability to handle employee grievances and foster a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Proficiency in designing and managing performance evaluation systems, with experience in coaching and developing employees to meet performance goals.
  • HR Policies and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with the ability to develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Organizational Development: Experience in managing change and driving organizational growth, with skills in developing and implementing training and development programs.
