About the Role

Reporting to the Patient Access and Flow Manager, this position is pivotal in ensuring the coordination of safe and efficient patient care services across various facilities. The role emphasizes addressing capacity and patient flow challenges, managing emergency responses, overseeing bed management, and providing support to staff while tackling unforeseen operational issues that may arise outside regular hours.

Qualifications

We invite applications from candidates who possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a related health discipline may also be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an acute care environment, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven leadership, planning, organizational, time management, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in clinical utilization.
  • Experience with software programs related to bed utilization.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles.
  • Experience in applying adult education principles.
  • Proficiency in using the Patient Flow Dashboard (Tableau) and Meditech.
  • Competencies in additional languages are an asset, with French being preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Permanent, Full-Time; 75 hours bi-weekly.
  • Shifts will include days, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $51.54. Successful candidates may also qualify for a signing bonus, contingent upon a defined Return of Service contract. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
