Job Title: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at KMC Mining Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment, including heavy trucks, attachments, and working tools. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct apprentices in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Transportation supplied to and from work
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Overtime required
  • Standing for extended periods
Work Environment:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to heavy equipment and tools. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
