Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse I

At NL Health Services, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Long Term Care. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe, competent, and ethical nursing care to residents, making decisions within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Participate in the development, revision, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
  • Complete nursing assessments consistent with the LPN scope of practice.
  • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
  • Document care according to professional and organizational standards.
  • Maintain competency and update knowledge by availing of educational opportunities.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Represent nursing on various committees as deemed necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalency.
  • Successful completion of an approved LPN education program.
  • Current registration with the Council for Licensed Practical Nurses (Nfld. & Labrador).
  • Knowledge of computer skills and an ability to work with Meditech is an asset.
  • Current certification in BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support).
  • A satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • CG-29 of the NAPE-HS salary scales $25.54 to $29.48 per hour, plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.
  • 75 hours Bi-weekly; variable shifts.
