About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Signia Construction Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints

The Carpenter will read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that all construction projects are completed to the highest standards.

Prepare and Install Building Components

The Carpenter will prepare and install building components, including windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring that all installations meet the required standards.

Maintain and Repair Buildings

The Carpenter will maintain and repair residential and commercial buildings, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Ensure Workplace Safety

The Carpenter will ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

The successful candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry.

Physical Demands

The Carpenter will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Tools and Equipment

The Carpenter will be required to own steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools and equipment.

Language and Work Schedule

The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week, with English as the primary language of communication.
