Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role involves supervising kitchen staff and helpers, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Kitchen Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant and pizzeria environment, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate must be able to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork are essential qualities for this role.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
- Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
