Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Health & Wellness, the Medical Office Assistant will assist clients, Nurse Practitioners, the Health & Wellness Department, and other healthcare professionals by executing a range of clerical and administrative duties including scheduling appointments, document preparation, managing client communications, and overseeing medical supplies inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative, clerical, and technical assistance to the Health and Wellness department.
  • Organize and coordinate client appointments, ensuring all necessary forms are completed, confirming appointment times, sending reminders, and scheduling follow-up visits as needed.
  • Assign suitable times, dates, and locations for Nurse Practitioners and specialists visiting WFN Community Services.
  • Manage client communications, including directing calls and walk-ins, and handling all incoming/outgoing correspondence, including confidential faxes, emails, and courier services.
  • Relay test results to clients upon request from Nurse Practitioners.
  • Prepare the Nurse Practitioner Exam Room in between client appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant office experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Adobe.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and related programs.
