About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at SE Health. As a PSW, you will provide care, companionship, and daily living support to clients in their homes, promoting their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household management, and medication reminders
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
  • Valid Standard First Aid / Level C CPR Certificate
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Current immunization record (TB test completed within the past 12 months)
  • Criminal Back Check and Current vulnerable sector check screening
  • Availability to work days OR evenings; including weekends
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent organizational skills to manage your schedule
  • Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills, to effectively communicate with clients and to provide companionship to those who need it
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Basic computer/smartphone skills would be an asset
