About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Lazeez Shawarma. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Supervise and Train Staff

Recruit, train, and supervise a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and prepare high-quality food.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Ensure Quality and Customer Satisfaction

Monitor and maintain quality control standards, address customer complaints or concerns, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.

Prepare Reports and Budgets

Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance, and prepare budget and cost estimates for kitchen operations.

Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
Working Conditions
  • 35 hours per week
