Job Summary

Soni & Sons Construction is seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Prepare floors for installations
Work Environment

As a Floor Layer, you will work in urban areas, handling heavy loads and working in dusty environments. You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and good hand-eye coordination
  • Judgment, organization, and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role, requiring 32 hours of work per week. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English.
