Job Summary

The Relief Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school environment. Reporting directly to the Principal, this position is responsible for ensuring the facility and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain a healthy and safe environment
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and materials
  • Collaborate with school staff to address any maintenance or repair issues
  • Perform routine inspections to identify and address any potential hazards

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 10 and relevant experience
  • Completion of a WHIMS course
  • Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective problem-solving and time management skills
