Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at The Alex, a leading provider of comprehensive health and social services in Calgary. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial triage and assessments to determine client needs and suitability for our services.
  • Deliver direct client care, including administering medications, performing phlebotomy, and providing treatment as needed.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to clients, promoting health and wellness through evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of our services.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses in Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Minimum of two years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in mental health and addictions, homelessness, and poverty.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to working with vulnerable populations, including those with mental health and addiction issues.
