Director of Finance

Lafontainemazdalivonia is seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance to lead our accounting operations and provide strategic financial guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, time tracking, payroll, and general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage bookkeeping function, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting
  • Establish and monitor guidelines around cost accounting, pricing, revenue recognition, and job profitability
  • Provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations
  • Evaluate and develop business protocols to increase process efficiencies and maintain internal controls
  • Manage banking, debtor, and significant vendor relationships
  • Coordinate with outsourced resources, including fractional CFO, legal counsel, accounting, tax, and other experts
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements, HST, and corporate tax filings
  • Ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or Director of Finance in the marketing, advertising, print media, or manufacturing sectors
  • 6+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Quickbooks accounting software
