Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our SCS Team. As a key member of our operational team, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality cleaning services in a designated zone, with a focus on quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors
- Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required
- Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor
- Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites
- Clean and store equipment and machinery used
- Clean glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding, or other extension equipment to reach
- Clean washroom floors, including stripping and finishing
- Clean stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required
- Load and unload supplies and replenish cleaning solutions
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment
- Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials, and solutions
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work, including WHMIS
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items, as well as climb ladders
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients, and the general public
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as assigned, as well as work in multiple locations
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare, and maintain manual and electronic records
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation:
- Must meet security clearance requirements, where applicable
- Must have a valid Class G license, where required
