Senior Architect/Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect/Designer to join our team at Houle Electric Canada. As a key member of our Subject Matter Expert team in the Security and Healthcare Technology division, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining various electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement electronic systems, including Nurse Call, RTLS, Audio, Video, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, Telecommunication, and Video Surveillance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert resource for Project Managers and mentor junior team members to assist with technical difficulties or issues.
  • Inspect potential project sites and provide accurate estimation of required equipment and time.
  • Maintain and complete accurate as-builts and all system documentation for projects.
  • Commission and configure hardware and software for deployment/installation.
  • Create and provide internal technical training resources and sessions for Houle Electric Canada team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role with strong technical expertise in related systems.
  • Electronics background is an asset.
  • Experience in large build projects, including P3 Hospitals.
  • Experience with integration and middleware engines in the security/healthcare product space.
  • Knowledge of various programming and computer languages, including C#, Python, and T-SQL.
  • Knowledge of web-based technologies, protocols, and languages/mechanisms, including API, REST, SOAP, ISS, Web servers, JSON, XML, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of various networking protocols and technologies.
