Liquid Propane Sales Specialist

Position Summary
The Liquid Propane Sales Specialist is responsible for marketing and selling liquid propane within a designated territory. This role involves acquiring new clients and enhancing sales volume among existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a systematic route for client engagement within the delivery area.
- Serve as the primary sales representative for FS System in the assigned territory.
- Follow established sales and marketing strategies while participating in training sessions.
- Achieve sales targets set by management.
- Utilize FS credit and Agri-Finance as effective sales tools.
- Document sales and delivery data accurately on a daily basis.
- Maintain a list of potential clients and actively pursue new business opportunities.
- Prepare sales contracts and order forms efficiently.
- Communicate promotional programs and distribute marketing materials to clients.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and assess customer credit histories prior to sales.
- Secure signed equipment lease agreements before servicing accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable in accordance with company policies.
- Address customer complaints promptly to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
- Maintain inventory levels and adhere to company standards to minimize losses.
- Fulfill orders from stock and deliver propane products as needed.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of company-owned tanks and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct pressure tests to verify system integrity when necessary.
- Maintain records of regulators and perform necessary replacements.
- Execute leak tests on customer systems as required.
- Adhere to FS System's Code of Conduct and all relevant safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of sales experience. Essential skills include strong business acumen, effective communication, customer focus, and decision-making abilities. A valid selling or solicitor's license may be required, and candidates must achieve and maintain Certified Propane Specialist certification. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement is also necessary.
Physical demands include the ability to travel independently within the sales territory, lift weights of 51-70 lbs, and work in various weather conditions. Flexibility to work beyond standard hours is expected.
