Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Long Life Flooring. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing flooring systems in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights.
Work Environment:

Our team works in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

Language and Communication:

We communicate primarily in English, and you will be required to have a strong understanding of the language to effectively communicate with our team and clients.

Work Term and Hours:

This is a permanent position, with a standard 40-hour workweek.
