Job Summary

Tajpur Investments Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Administer Network Infrastructure

Ensure the stability and security of our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Evaluate and Install Network Hardware and Software

Assess and implement the latest computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to optimize network performance.

Provide Technical Support

Offer expert problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Implement Security Measures

Develop and enforce data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network from potential threats.

Perform Routine Network Maintenance

Conduct regular network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining accurate control records and ensuring seamless operations.

Manage Data Backups and Recovery

Implement and oversee data backup and disaster recovery operations to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

Configure Network Connections

Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring secure and efficient data transfer.

Optimize Network Performance

Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to ensure maximum efficiency.

Modify Web Content

Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to ensure seamless user experience and optimal network performance.

Research and Implement Search Engine Optimization

Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines to improve online visibility.

Provide Customer Support

Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Manage Web-Server Operations

Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Requirements

  • Education

College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a network support or administration role.

Language

Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Term

Permanent position, requiring a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Hours

30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet business needs.
