Continuing Education Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Continuing Studies Instructor to join our team at Okanagan College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and educational services to participants in our Building Service Worker Certificate program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum related to the teaching assignment, ensuring it is current and relevant to industry needs.
- Provide teaching and educational services to participants, including advice and instructional assistance as it pertains to course content.
- Monitor and evaluate participant progress in the course, ensuring they understand and comply with college policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain course materials, course outlines, lesson plans, instructional aids, assignments, exams, and attendance records.
- Communicate with the Program Administrator/Coordinator on any issues related to student participation or course delivery.
- An undergraduate degree and post-secondary teaching experience are preferred, but applicants with equivalent combinations of teaching and work experience may be considered.
- An Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred.
- 5-10 years of recent relevant experience in the field, with a strong commitment to a team approach and excellent communication skills.
- Successful completion of a relevant Certificate program or higher.

- Experience teaching adults in a classroom setting is preferred.
