About the Role

We're seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Commercial & Specialty SE team as a DevOps I for the Summer term. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building the skills and experience that will propel your career forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and test low to moderately complex code changes to fix identified defects in existing s/w products or to moderately enhance new/future s/w releases.
  • Troubleshoot low to moderate defects within code and provide input into and perform actions as designated in the remediation plan.
  • Contribute to the development of requirements with product management and architects; provide recommendations to enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
  • Provide additional support in solving software/systems monitoring issues and escalations which require moderate technical expertise to troubleshoot.
  • Assist in automation of deployment of solutions as code (working in a CICD space).
  • Ensure systems are optimal and meet quality standards by analyzing, providing creative suggestions to improve services and user experiences.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Summer Term for 16 months (May to August).
  • Must be returning to school in Fall following your internship.
  • Past internship experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and/or French preferred).
  • Ability and desire to learn/adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Strong team player ready to collaborate with different teams to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in Java is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CICD (Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery) is considered an asset.
