Forklift Operator Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Toronto, ON. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a variety of forklifts, including Crown Reach, Cherry Picker (Hyster/Yale), and Raymond Dockstocker
  • Move materials within the warehouse, ensuring safe and efficient handling of products
  • Perform physically demanding duties, such as manually loading and unloading goods
  • Follow all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols
  • Loading trucks, offloading trucks, and operating a slip sheet to unload containers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, driving and operating equipment safely and efficiently
Requirements:
  • Valid forklift certification
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment (Crown Reach, Order Picker, and Dockstocker)
  • Previous warehouse experience and comfort with general labor, including case picking and palletizing product
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience with slip sheet is an asset
  • High energy and ability to follow processes
  • Strong communication skills to interact with staff and outside drivers in dispatch
  • Ability to work independently
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
