Key Responsibilities The role encompasses several critical areas: Resident-Centered Care: Ensures excellence in service delivery by being attentive to residents' needs in alignment with their care plans, policies, and procedures. Aids residents in all daily living activities while upholding their dignity and privacy. Documentation: Diligently records and communicates care and observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse promptly. Monitors and documents the holistic needs of residents in their health records, covering physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and emotional aspects. Safety: Plays a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for residents, colleagues, and oneself by adhering to safety protocols and practices consistently. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of residents, occupational health, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures. Continuous Learner: Embodies the vision and values of Bethany, actively contributing to the mission of Creating Caring Communities. Collaborative Team Member: Works harmoniously with others as an integral part of the team. Engages with interdisciplinary team members to assess and adapt the documented care requirements of residents. Qualifications - Completion of Grade 10 education and possession of a Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate. - Previous experience as a Health Care Aide is advantageous but not mandatory. - Ability to thrive in a physically and mentally demanding environment. - Proficient in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in English. - Strong observational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
