Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including medication administration, personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support clients in transitioning to community living, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Practice a person-directed approach, prioritizing client-centered care and building strong relationships.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve client quality of life, focusing on everyday activities and social engagement.
  • Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support services to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Plan and facilitate leisure, recreational, and social activities, promoting client engagement and enjoyment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including daily and quarterly reports.
  • Respond effectively in crisis situations, prioritizing client safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Completion of the 7 Provincial Core Competencies or willingness to complete upon hire.
  • Clear, current Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, judgment, and a positive attitude.
