Job Summary

FLINT Corp. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician Apprentice to join our team. As an Instrumentation Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment, transmitters, and control systems in our industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain equipment, transmitters, and control systems
  • Analyze and interpret data from SCADA, LOI displays, and P ID drawings to ensure safe operation of facilities
  • Support programming and troubleshooting of Local Operator Interfaces and Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment
  • Provide Instrumentation support and maintenance to ensure system reliability
  • Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose
  • Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts

Requirements

  • Apprentice Certificate
  • Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: CSTS-2020, H2S Alive, and Fall Protection
  • 1+ years of construction experience in an industrial setting
  • 1+ years of experience in tubing and equipment installation
  • High regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
