Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wash Bay Technician to join our team at Waste Connections of Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our wash bay facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wash bay equipment, including forklifts, trucks, and washers, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Park and organize trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Wash and maintain tires, containers, and floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety.
  • Organize and maintain wash bay equipment and supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Ensure the wash bay is kept in a clean and safe working condition, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with operations management staff, operators, and other team members to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Report any equipment or container damage or issues to maintenance staff for prompt repair.
  • Secure the building and lock all doors and equipment at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment tests.
  • Criminal record check required.
