Position Overview:

Cineplex Entertainment is seeking a dedicated Back of House Supervisor to oversee culinary operations in our vibrant entertainment venue. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily food preparation across various kitchen stations, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent knife skills and culinary techniques to maintain food quality.
  • Set up and maintain kitchen stations according to established guidelines.
  • Prepare and present food items in a timely manner, following recipes and portion control specifications.
  • Restock supplies as needed and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Assist in the organization and cleanliness of kitchen facilities and storage areas.
  • Support the Chef and Sous Chef with additional tasks as required.
  • Monitor food quality and safety, implementing necessary measures to uphold standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a high-temperature environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in time management and multitasking in a dynamic setting.

Work Conditions:

  • Position requires standing for extended periods.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and kitchen equipment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
