About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Royal Academy. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our team to design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of our young learners.
  • Child Support: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engagement and Activities: Encourage children to express their creativity through various mediums, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Meal and Rest Periods: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our children.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of our children.
  • Extended Care: Organize activities for school-age children in our child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2) certification.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, a commitment to values and ethics, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Arrangements: Be available to work 30-40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
