Job Title: Registered Nurse-PT(.5)-Emergency Dept

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care to complex patient populations, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients, including those with complex needs and unpredictable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify abnormal patient responses, and take appropriate action.
  • Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Recent experience in Emergency Nursing, with a focus on complex patient populations.
  • Current certification in BCLS and ability to use the Nursing Process.
  • Strong interprofessional and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing, TNCC, PALS, ENC(C), and ACLS.
  • Recent continuing education in Emergency Nursing.
  • SADV training.
