Job Title: Spiritual Health Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Spiritual Health Practitioner to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff in a compassionate and culturally sensitive manner.

Job Summary:

The Spiritual Health Practitioner will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff. This will involve providing spiritual support, guidance, and education to promote holistic well-being and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff
  • Provide spiritual support, guidance, and education to promote holistic well-being and resilience
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement spiritual care plans
  • Participate in interprofessional healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community spiritual leaders and organizations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., theology, psychology, sociology)
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in spiritual care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of spiritual care principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience working with diverse populations and spiritual traditions
  • Knowledge of cultural safety and humility principles
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
